TILLI VILLALOBOS
FOR NM HOUSE DISTRICT 37

Friends and Neighbors,

New Mexico is a place of resilience, opportunity, and deep community. It is where I have chosen to build my life and raise my family.

I became a mother at 17, when my oldest son was born. My path was not easy, but it was possible because I had access to opportunity. While raising my son, I earned my college degree and later my law degree. I know what it means to struggle but through these experiences, I learned the value of hard work and perseverance. I  was able to use smart public investments that supported education, childcare, food security, and housing to build a stable future for my family. When I am in the legislature, I will work tirelessly to ensure all New Mexicans have access to these same opportunities.

As a former federal prosecutor, my work has centered around protecting the most vulnerable members of our community, with a focus on prosecuting child exploitation and sexual abuse crimes. Today, I am a small business owner, running my own law firm here in Las Cruces where the primary focus of my practice is protecting the rights of indigent clients charged in federal court with criminal immigration offenses.

My husband, Jeff, and I are proud to be raising our three boys in the community we love. Being a working mom, a wife, and an attorney working to protect the rights of those I represent has shaped how I lead, listen, and serve.

I am running for New Mexico House District 37 because I know what  it takes to fight for and protect the people I represent. I believe in a New Mexico where integrity matters, communities are safe, and opportunity is within reach for every person, and I will not stop working until we have achieved that for every New Mexican.

I would be honored to earn your support and work together to build a stronger future for our community.
